I have drugs in my hand
Mary Poppins is chasing me
Chimney sweeps are laughing
Run away as fast as I can
Maleficent is cackling
And the winds change
Remember a time when this wasn’t so strange
Everyday life as kids we played
Fantasy was real and nobody cared
Oh no she’s got schizophrenia now
Rooftops in the moonlight
I have beer bottles in my hand
Bubble elephants dance
Scream as mice crawl over me
I’m not afraid; yes I am
Seven dwarves stare down at me
Prince Charming leans down…

Everyday life as kids we played
Fantasy was real and nobody cared
Oh no she’s got schizophrenia now

Princesses and their princes
Ain’t got shit on me

I have no idea how I came up with this. I wanted a poem with 'rooftops' in the first line...and this is what I got. Kinda weird, it's not great, but feedback would be awesome.

Anyways, I love how you had a basic structure for the poem and the repetition of that structure. You mixed the reality of life with the fantasies of Disney and integrated both very smoothly. I really did like this piece!
I also like the allusions you chose, there are a million different ones you could have chosen and I believe you chose the right ones, especially Mary Poppins!!! Goes ever so well with rooftops lol. Great Job!
